Pricing Analyst - Banking - Cardiff - Circa £140 per day

A leading UK retail bank requires a Pricing Analyst to join its team based in Cardiff.

You will be responsible for driving profitability through pricing decisions in line with the strategy and policies agreed with the business. You will also be accountable for reviewing current clients' performance and producing competitive pricing to new clients.

You will be accountable for the following key deliverables:
- Managing the pricing request queue; ensuring all requests are processed accurately, within a £1m mandate, policy and SLA.
- Creation of pricing model inputs for both retail and motor clients of significant size or individuality.
- Maintenance and Development of key pricing models to ensure that data inputs are up-to-date, accurate and analytics aid the business to make informed pricing decisions.
- Analysing client performance through regular pricing reviews and making pricing recommendations to the Pricing Manager.
- Liaising with the sales force up to Sales Director level to understand their pricing requests.
- To be a subject matter expert for product profitability to aid our pricing decision making.
- Provide input into twice-monthly Pricing Committee processes, attend meetings and provide admin support.
- Understanding of UKSL pricing strategy, including key segmentation and impact analysis.
- Support and lead project deliverables to tight timescales and managing stakeholder relationships at a high level to ensure pricing needs are met.
- Manage stakeholder expectations through effective priority management

To be considered you will possess excellent analytical and numerical skills, high levels of attention to detail, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. High levels of attention to detail and strong influencing skills to drive pricing decision making are essential. Working knowledge of SQL/SAS or similar would be highly advantageous as would strong Excel skills.
