My client, a leading manufacturer of bespoke machinery into the Pharmaceutical, Medical & Food industries are seeking a Software Engineer to join a rapidly increasing workforce.

With the support of the technical department management the role of the Software Engineer is to:
Understand and interpret the customer's requirements and conceptualise the most cost effective design solution.
Accurately convey these design solutions for internal and customer review.
Specify and research the capability and control integration of third party equipment.
For example vision, robots, printing, lasers, servo drives, and safety systems.
Program PLC's for complex automated installations using Rockwell and Siemens control platforms.
Program HMI and SCADA applications.
Program safety systems.
Program and integrate robots, vision, etc.
Generate validation documents to support compliance with GAMP- Software design specifications, Test specifications.
Work as part of a multi disciplined programme team.
Manage their design activities within an ISO 9001 quality system.
Commission machinery both on site and customers sites in the UK and overseas.

Suitable candidates will have the following attributes:
A degree or be vocationally educated (HNC, HND, apprenticeship).
An understanding of engineering and automation principles developed from a junior design or early post graduate role.
Competent in the use of Microsoft office tools, Rockwell and Siemens programming tools.
