Role Purpose:
To provide risk management support to the Business Risk Manager within a Wealth Management division, who is responsible for overseeing risk adherence and management across the global COO business and works closely with local and wealth risk teams to ensure they are effectively implemented. And sits within Business Management, who is a global team involved all areas of the COO business.
Key Deliverables:
- Supporting the Business Risk Manager in delivering risk management practices across the COO business.
- Supporting the COO in the development and maintenance of an adequate, effective and sustainable control environment.
- Provide assistance to the COO business in embedding a risk management and control culture.
- Participates in operational risk related projects under the guidance of the Business Risk Manager.
- Provides support in the development of the operational risk management framework.
- Assists with the monitoring of the direct and indirect operational losses and reputational damage of the business.
- Provides support with analysing operational risk data and contributes to the production of reports/commentary on operational risk for COO.
- Provide central disaster recovery support for COO and also on Divisional level and ensure contingency planning arrangements are robust.
- Assist the Business Risk Manager for the following Global control Standards on behalf of Wealth Management. Provide support on the Divisional Policy Standard Owner with assurance activities.
Experience Required:
- Experience of working in the financial services sector either in an operational or risk related role.
- Experience of risk management.
- Sound knowledge of the banking industry and the wider financial services market.
- Familiarity with operational risk management processes and their supporting systems
- Excellent grasp of English language, both spoken and written
- Appreciation of risk management principles and methodology.
- Project Management skills.
- Experience of implementing risk & control frameworks in wealth management environments
