Description
MachinistAdecco Engineering Technical is searching for an experienced Machinist for a company in San Diego, Ca. This position requires a high level of understanding of all machining, grinding, and inspection processes and will be responsible for various close tolerance machining operations. This position is a Manual Machinist opportunity and will be a Temp to Hire position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.
- Fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments per mechanical drawings and produce and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
- Program Proto Trak milling stations- NICE TO HAVE
- Complete preventative and predictive maintenance on the machine shop equipment.
- Maintain and secure work tools and keep work area clean.
- Order tools and fabrication parts as needed.
- Assist engineering to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product.
- Complete daily maintenance and repair log.
- Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- May be required to meet certain certifications in the field and have at least 4-7 years of experience.
- Interpret complex drawings and blue prints.
- Perform a variety of tasks using various precision measuring devices.
- Work under general supervision when operating machine shop equipment including but not limited to milling machines, lathes, shears, grinders, saws, and sanders.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
