Position Description:
As the Senior Data Modeler on the EBI team, you will work as a liaison between the capability partners and the technical project team to understand business problems and help find appropriate solutions, documents requirements, communicate effectively with all levels of management, and deliver projects on time

Responsibilities:

  • Work with EBI and Business teams to achieve high standard results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Design and facilitate working sessions to transition business understanding and requirement into Data Models
  • Provide Conceptual, Logical, Physical Models with Erwin for solutions on Teradata/Cognos.
  • Be responsible to understand Relational and Dimensional data modelling concepts in Erwin.
  • Conduct user requirement gathering/analysis sessions and develop blueprint/documents.
  • Lead or participate on reporting teams responsible for developing and deploying Business Intelligence applications using Cognos.
  • Collaborate with BI Application Engineers and business partners to develop high-level designs including logical models and functional specifications and framework models to create business solutions.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Requires experience using Cognos and working with relational and or multidimensional databases and data modelling.
  • Experience with BI tools focused primarily on presentation and data-mining.
  • Data Warehousing using Teradata experience is preferred.
  • Expertise in Cognos Framework Development including best practice and standards for performance and optimal design.
