Description
I am currently looking for an experienced Contracts Manager who is familiar with working in a telecoms envirionment, to work for a market leading client of mine in South Africa. Applicants with experience working in South Africa are preferred.
Job Requirements -
· Familiarity with working with FIDIC Red/Silver book for construction contracts.
· Legal background an advantage, but not essential
· Technically minded with experience of the telecommunications sector, ideally in infrastructure build – fixed line, optical networks
· Strong customer facing skills and negotiation experience when dealing with experienced contractors and consultants
· Experience in handling disputes related to variations/penalties etc.
· Experience in handling sub-contractor contracts and enforcing controls in accordance with FIDIC
