We are looking for an electrically biased Multi-skilled shift maintenance engineer to work a food manufacturer based in Yorkshire on a 3 month contract. In the role you will be responsible for minimising down time and the maintenance of all production and processing equipment in a food environment

The electrical engineer's responsibilities will include:

1. Reactive and Preventative maintenance of all of production equipment.

2. Minimising downtime and reducing repeat defects

3. Improving plant effectiveness and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)

4. Fault finding using PLC's, Siemens S5 & S7

5. Both Mechanical and Electrical aspects of maintenance

6. Identifying areas for improvement.
The ideal candidate will have several years maintenance experience working in a food/FMCG environment dealing with packaging machines and be self motivated with a desire to be hands on and a willingness to get stuck in whenever needed.
The Essential skills needed to be considered for this role are;
1. Knowledge and experience working with high speed packaging machine

2. City & Guilds 17th edition wiring regulations

3. PLC fault finding experience (ideally Siemens)

4. understanding of variable speed drives

5. Have both Mechanical and Electrical maintenance experience, with a strong bias towards electrics

6. Preventative and reactive maintenance experience
