Summary of Role:As a Sr. QA Analyst, you will be responsible for mentoring the test team; improve processes and procedures exercised during testing; maintain good working relationships with the project team and consultants; and provide guidance, leadership, and visibility on test team projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities:
* Create test strategies, write test plans, develop test scripts, manage test tasks, and conduct tests using software testing tools (eg, HP Quality Center).
* Develop effective test and QA processes.
* Ensure test environments are set-up, properly configured, and available for each project as scheduled.
* Execute test scripts manually, analyze results, and write test reports.
* Provide defect documentation, tracking and reporting; investigate and fully characterize test failures; ensure that bugs are entered with adequate information to reproduce the problem.
* Manage and report test coverage as it relates to project risk.
* Use standard test methodology to develop and execute software test plans including system, regression, performance, and stress testing for new products and product enhancements.
* Participate in formal documentation reviews for functional and technical specifications.
* Maintain test logs and document test results; analyze the results.
* Assess and revise test plans and cases based upon test results and or changes in requirements or design of application.
* Assess application readiness and identify deviation of application performance based on test results and application requirements.
* Assist in evaluation and recommendation of tools and techniques to improve software quality and efficiency of test processes.
* Evaluate test results to determine compliance with test plans and business processes.
* Define procedures to ensure compliance with audit objectives related to production computer environments.
* Assist in the evaluation and implementation of testing tools.
* Develops standards to determine application quality and release readiness.
* Follows up on problem resolution management.
Education: Requires a bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with software testing tools (eg, HP Quality Center, Rational's ClearQuest).
- Experience on a variety of technology platforms (eg, Client Server, Mainframe, web) and development methodologies (eg, waterfall, iterative, agile programming).
- Strong experience with manual and automated testing, testing tools, writing test plans and reviewing test cases.
- Working knowledge of testing methodologies and MS Office products.
- Strong analytical/problem solving experience to deal with complex business problems.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and multi-task to meet critical deliverable dates.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational and time management skills.

- Experience with formal change management processes and tools a plus.
- Experience with formal configuration management processes and tools a plus.
- Experience with Project Planning a plus.
Experience:
Prefer at least five years of Quality Assurance experience with two years leading testing on software development projects.
Decision Making/Interaction:
Daily interaction with various IT departments to exchange information; decisions require consideration of cause and effect of changes to systems and programs.
