This role as Senior Business Analyst provides a real opportunity to contribute to a significant and challenging program of work with a national impact. At the same time, you will be working in an organisation with a strong commitment to the development of its people.

This role will report directly to the Program Manager - Integration.

The Position:

  • Define current state business processes, systems and data models;
  • Work with key stakeholders and team members, through a process of interviews, workshops and research, to elicit requirements;
  • Define the business, user and functional/non-functional requirements and the creation of use cases and other supporting documentation;
  • Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Assist the Program Manager and jurisdiction project owners to manage user expectations, evaluate and manage the quality of third party products, identify and manage risks and prepare specific project communications.

The Person:

  • Experience in business and process analysis and design of large scale applications within an application
  • Demonstrated knowledge, experience and understanding of contemporary business analysis and process modelling techniques.
  • Experience in the development of high quality user technical documentation.
  • High level of research, conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills, as evidenced by the ability to research complex situations or issues including policy problems, and develop options, strategies or recommendations to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Experience in the development of project plans and schedules (Microsoft Project) together with project co-ordination related tasks such as developing monthly status reports, maintaining risk, issues and change registers in support of jurisdictional projects would be highly regarded.
