US citizen or permanent resident only.Position Description:
Production Support for various Web solutions. Supporting 8-10 internal unix Servers and 3 HP/EDS hosted servers. The major work will be around investigation, analysis, and documentation of current environments with the goal of assisting with application improvement, redesign and replacement/divesting older solutions. (60%)
Responsibilities:
- Providing day to day SL1-4 support and maintenance of existing solutions. Low ticket counts currently. (40%)
- Desired end state will be to have Unix servers, applications, and architecture documented and operational support plan developed.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Must have jRun, jBoss, and J2EE experience for consideration.
- Strong Unix, Web services, Apache/Tomcat
- Troubleshooting and analysis skills.
- Quick learner and not afraid to take initiative.
- Self starter and motivated by finding issues and improving current environments
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Open deploy and team site experience.
- Load balancing and external hosted implementations EDS/HP Data Centers
- Proxy management
- PHP and Media Server
