As a Senior IT Support Consultant you will be reporting to the Operations Manager and your role will be to provide specialist technical leadership, technical support services and advice to clients, business partners and internal staff for the support of systems and achievement of effective business solutions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing system administration services to external and internal clients to agreed client service levels whilst maintaining business viability and cost competitiveness. This will include identifying and communicating potential risks to delivering to agreed service levels, and making recommendations to address these.
- Understanding clients' business drivers and contributing to client relationships by analysing the performance of clients' infrastructure environments and making recommendations for improvements.
- Leading and participating in a team of technical specialists to define and cost technical architecture solutions, and managing production implementation as well as on-going service delivery.
- Participating in research to assess and determine the applicability of new and emerging technologies and processes that support services, initiating and implementing continuous improvements.
Who we're looking for:
- Someone who can demonstrate expert level knowledge of integrated Reporting and Service Management Systems
- Someone who can demonstrate a consultative approach to dealing with stakeholders
- A solid understanding of Systems Integration
- Someone who can define requirements and set strategic business changes
Technical Skills (Essential):
- Technologies used to deliver web-based applications and reports.
- Report writing, creation, analysis and design in a Jaspersoft environment.
- Reporting data collection, manipulation and visualisation.
- Programming/Scripting languages (including Javascript, Groovy and Java).
- Databases and database access methods.
Technical Skills (Desirable):
- Design, programming and configuration using Groovy/Grails in an enterprise reporting environment.
- Integrations with other toolsets such as Service Now and HP OVPI.
- Datawarehouse design and concepts using Oracle.
- Knowledge of elements of software development & release.
- Service Now (or similar) application administration in an integrated services toolset environment.
