Purpose of the Role
Working within the Regulatory Risk Assurance Team, the individual will contribute towards promoting, protecting and enhancing the Regulatory Risk framework by undertaking risk assurance activity.

Key Accountabilities
-To scope, lead and conduct Regulatory Compliance assessments in areas that pose Regulatory Risk.
-Responsible for the issue of Assurance Reports which clearly articulate the findings of reviews and provide clarity to the business on remedial actions.
-Identification of issues and control gaps by the gathering and rigorous analysis and interpretation of Management Information.
-Thorough understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements and dissemination of these as appropriate.
-Promote a positive image of Regulatory Risk management by maintaining high standards of technical expertise and a professional attitude, both internally and externally.

Experience & Skills/Experience:
Significant regulatory risk experience, typically built up over 5+ years, working in a regulated/financial services environment.
Detailed knowledge of relevant FSA Rules and Principles, and Data protection Act. An understanding of Prudential and AML would be preferable although not compulsory.
The ability to clearly articulate regulatory issues through verbal and written communications (eg Reports) to achieve the required actions.
Proven track record of delivery whilst managing multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities.
Ability to demonstrate decisiveness and sound judgement on a consistent basis.
Broad knowledge of risk management and control appropriate to a financial services environment.
