An opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join a specialist company renowned for their high-quality standard components, products, instruments and more. A 3-6 month contract initially, based in Wales. Rate: £ per hour.

Job Outline:
The successful candidate will provide support and direction in the control of processes and quality management, in
accordance with both the departmental operating procedures and company Quality Manual.

Key Responsibilities:
The main duties will include:
* Ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with company operating procedures.
* Providing guidance in the development of procedures to accommodate a changing environment.
* Supporting Operations in achieving an environment of continuous improvement through identifying best practice
and championing changes working closely with Shop Engineers.
* Presenting system data to the FRACAS team reviews for both internal and external failures.
* Identifying key parameters from FRACAS for both internal and external customer issues and producing monthly
trend analysis.
* Producing Right First Time data. Publishing results and utilising them to direct efforts/focus.
* Liaising with all areas of the business, at all levels, together with suppliers and customers in resolving product
quality related issues
* Supporting all business improvement activities
* Conducting product audits in order to demonstrate compliance with procedures
* Attending the various business/product reviews to ensure the business is addressing all aspects of the
requirement to the satisfaction of the customer
* Building effective working relationships internally and externally

Candidate Specification:
It is essential that all candidates have the following:

* A high standard of formal education (preferably to HNC level or equivalent)
* Knowledge of AS9100 quality requirements
* A time served background in mechanical engineering
* An understanding of metrologyand problem solving tools/techniques.
* Familiarity with SPC data generation
* Fully competent in the use of PC's (Microsoft Office Applications) as detailed technical report generation will be
required.
* Excellent communication skills, a methodical approach to working, and proven attention to detail.
* Proven ability to work under pressure to achieve demanding objectives.
The following attributes are considered desirable, but not essential for the role:

* An extensive knowledge of the client's products and processes, together with an understanding of the client's Management System
* Familiarity with auditing techniques, although training will be given if required.
* Experience in lean practices
* Quality Assurance experience within a precision manufacturing environment.
