Position Description:
Experienced software systems and application developer able to work with a team in a deadline intensive environment to produce and maintain web services, dynamic applications, and publishing tools for Applications and services must be flexible, extensible, robust, and highly scaleable.
Applicant should have a strong understanding of object-oriented design and full life cycle software development processes including requirements analysis, technical design, scoping, and estimating.
Ideal applicant will have a solid understanding of UI design and usability issues.
Strong overall communication and documentation skills are required. Applicant should be able to lead and participate in both technical and non-technical discussions. Position entails working directly with the customer. Applicant should be highly motivated, able to self-manage, and able to work well in a team environment.
Qualifications
Six years exp. With software development in Java technologies
- JavaScript
- SQL
- Unix
- General web app and website experience including JSP/XML/HTML/CSS/AJAX
Nice to have:
- UI design and usability experience
- Experience developing productivity applications
- Experience with content management systems
- NoSQL DBs (ie. CouchDB/MongoDB)
- Python
- PHP/Drupal
- Flex/Flash/ActionScript 3.0
Interpersonal/Team Skills:
Good communication skills. Work closely with both small and large teams. Customer contact.
