Candle are seeking a senior RF Engineer to join the expanding team of one of our clients this leading Telco organisation! This position is responsible for Design, Integration and Optimisation of GSM and WCDMA Mobile Access Networks in Victoria. The successful applicant will be expected to exploit the full range of technical solutions to improve network capacity and performance within technical and business guidelines with a particular emphasis on WBB (wireless broadband) performance.
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in Mobile networks design and optimisation.
- Sound Analytical Skills of network performance and an understanding of performance counters
- Sound 2G and 3G network optimization skills and understanding of all mobile testing equipment functionalities
- Experience in influencing business decision based upon a sound understanding of RF planning theory and practice
- Sound understanding of Radio propagation theory and modelling
- Antenna design and implementation principles
- Cellular Network Theory
- Traffic Theory
- GSM and UMTS Systems
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent Computer Skills
- Essential:
- Australian Driver licence
Ideally you will also have experience in:
- Cellular Radio Infrastructure and Cellular Radio Features on both 2G and 3G technologies
- A good level of expertise in 2G and 3G including Inter-working technology
- Good understanding of related technical areas such as IP, ATM, microwave radio and transmission network design
- Experience with SQL programming/scripts
- Safe Working at Heights certification
- Previous experience with Actix, TEMS Investigator, MapInfo and Aircom Asset
