Supplier Relationship Manager - Banking - North West- Circa £175 per dayA leading UK retail bank requires a Supplier Relationship Manager to join its team based in Cheshire.
You will be accountable for leading all supplier management activity relating to a large number of suppliers within a specific category.
You will be responsible for the following key deliverables:
To ensure the business receives good service performance and to maximise value for money from the suppliers and manage cost challenge initiatives
To identify and minimise contractual and commercial risk with support from management and sourcing
To provide commercial support to the teams in the negotiation of major contracts and changes to contracts
To lead and coordinate the operational activities including contact review and renewal, commercials, demand management, change process, reporting and service performance reviews
To implement the agreed supplier strategy in relation to business needs and regularly review with stakeholders
To be considered you will possess demonstrable supplier management experience, ideally in a financial services environment. Knowledge of procurement, including understanding of service levels, service risks and commercial mechanisms, would be advantageous. Knowledge of the category marketplace, including supplier capability and market trends, is also desirable.
Experience managing performance through commercial agreements and ability to write and structure contracts is also required. Excellent financial, analytical and negotiation skills are essential.
