Finance Manager- SUN accounts, CCAB qualification
High profile public sector role based in Darlington requires a Finance Manager for 6 months.
Key tasks and deliverables include:
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, preparing reports to the Risk & Audit Committee in response to audit findings relating to the finance environment and ensuring corrective action is implemented in response to any audit issues raised.
- Development of complex financial models and preparation of business cases to support strategic decision-making.
- Development of budgets to support delivery of strategic business plans.
- Working with budget holders to ensure potential overspends are identified and corrective measures implemented to control expenditure.
- Lead on ISA Value for Money plans and monitoring.
- Day to day management of the finance team, deputising for the Head of Finance & Corporate Resources in all financial matters arising as required.
Essential Skills:
* Experienced in producing statutory accounts and returns under IFRS
* Experienced in producing budgets and forecast
* Experience of producing supporting financial information for business cases
* Experience of developing complex financial models to support decision making
Desirable Skills:
* Experience of using SUN Accounts
CCAB qualification is essential
