Description
Our client has a need for a Migration Specialist with EDI and IBM Mainframe experience to work on a long-term project that will start January 2012 and go through December 2012 with a high potential to go longer. The project is located in the Charlotte, NC area but remote setup is allowed. There is 15-25% travel required, too. Individuals also must have ability to work remotely (phone, computer, wifi, etc).
The migration consultants will need to have a solid Business Analysis background, solid Mainframe experience (JCL, TSO, CICS), and EDI delivery experience (preferably client facing delivery).
Responsibilities:
- Assist Payment Origination and Receivable clients in readying their computer applications and business processes for the migration to a new EDI platform.
- Provide guidance to clients during the migration process.
- Manage multiple implementations simultaneously using a structured project management approach. Coordinate various internal bank and external resources to complete implementations successfully including IT, Operations, and Data Transmission resources.
- Educate and counsel clients regarding payment networks, receivable networks, EDI message standards, data communications, and security issues.
- Share documentation the client will use as a guide to their internal development.
- Explain all aspects of the EDI services, focusing on the recommended implementation and migration approach.
- Maintain project plans for client and internal use.
- Provide consultative guidance to the client on payment/receivables systems, with strong focus on the ACH network as well as Wire Transfer, Lockbox, and Check Processing.
- Guide the client to enable them to use the EDI services effectively.
- Act as the single point of contact for client inquiries and guidance during the migration process and transition to production support.
- Provide consultative guidance as necessary for internal constituents including Sales, Product Management, Operations and Implementation Management.
