MAIN DUTIES:

  • Assist in the day-to-day operation of the pensions administration function, maintaining all membership records ensuring changes are implemented and acknowledged promptly.
  • Communicate both verbally and in writing, on all pension benefits payable under the schemes to members, beneficiaries, HR and pension advisers.
  • Assist the Pensions Administration Manager with development and implementation of pension policies.
  • Assist on special projects as and when required.
  • Assist in or manage other areas of the Pension Group's work as and when required.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • The Job Holder will be required to have extensive knowledge of pension administration systems and be experienced in desktop computer operations and system implementation.
  • Sound knowledge of HMRC and DWP procedures, together with a firm grasp of all ongoing pension legislation matters is essential.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and contribute effectively to management issues.
  • Proactive, self starter
  • Experience of Compendia desirable
