Description
Link Technologies is looking for a Senior Programmer Analyst for client project located in Carson City, NV for a contract assignment.
The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and any enhancement to the Vehicle Information Database (VID). The candidate should be able to learn the existing system with minimal guidance from the track lead and other programmers. The candidate should be able to write code in Microsoft .NET technologies, especially ASP .NET and VB .NET and should able to write stored procedures in an SQL server environment.
The candidate should be able to effectively communicate with user community and resolve any production issues in an expedited manner. When required the candidate should be able to interpret requirements, document the requirements and prepare technical documents.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Microsoft .NET especially ASP.NET and VB.NET;
Writing web services using .NET technologies;
Writing and maintaining SQL server stored procedures;
Message queues;
Candidate must have a good working knowledge and strong technical background and experience in system analysis; and
Candidate must have the capability to perform the functions described in Section 13, Scope of Work.

SCOPE OF WORK
Candidate must perform all activities to the agreed upon project plan/schedule.
Analyze, design and code Vehicle Information Database web application and web services;
Provide periodic status reports on the given assignments;
Meet with subject matter experts and collect requirements;
Perform enhancement to the web application and web services as per the requirements;
Perform unit testing and integration testing of the code changes;
Understand and follow DMV-MVIT protocol in promoting changes;
Write technical documents when required; and
Perform data corrections if required to maintain the integrity of the application.
DELIVERABLES
Candidate must provide the following based on the agreed upon project plan/schedule:
Maintain VID web portal by fixing any issues identified by the users;
Enhance VID web portal as and when required;
Maintain VID web services by fixing any issues identified by the users;
Enhance VID web services as and when required;
Maintain SQL server stored procedures by fixing any issues identified the users;
Enhance SQL server stored procedures as and when required;
Maintain reports by fixing any issues identified by the users;
Enhance reports as and when required;
Document any data corrections and changes; and
Submit status reports, as requested.
TRAVEL
Candidate may be subject to limited amount of travel outside of the Carson City area.
