Our client is seeking a Websphere Message Broker Developer this is a CONTRACT position located in Hartford, CT
*There is an option for this person to work remote Part of the Time after Ramp Up*
Primary Function: Design, develop and deploy software solutions in EAI, B2B and Middleware products primarily using IBM WebSphere Message Broker, IBM WebSphere Business Integrator Message Broker, IBM WebSphere MQ Series and IBM WebSphere Interchange Server.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Architects and System Analysts to understand technical and business needs.
- Design, develop, unit test and integrate Message Broker flows.
- Work with QA Teams to fix code level defects.
- Work on deployment of Message Broker flows across different environments. (Dev, QA, Performance, Stage, Production and Production Fix).
- Create MQ infrastructure designs and work with MQ team for implementing designs.
- Provide production support.
- Work across multiple projects, allocate time appropriately as needed and meet project deadlines.
- Provide strategic thinking, solutions and roadmaps while driving architectural recommendations.
- Provide comprehensive consultation to the business unit and IT management and staff at the highest technical level on all phases of integration systems development and processes.
- Research and evaluate alternative solutions and recommend the most efficient and cost effective application programming and integration solution.
- Perform development work on new or modified programs, reuse existing code and/or integrate purchased solutions.
- Document, test, implement and provide on-going support for applications
Qualifications
- Strong experience in design, development and deploying applications using IBM WebSphere Message Broker, IBM WebSphere Business Integrator Message Broker, IBM WebSphere MQSeries, IBM WebSphere Interchange Server.
- Experience in business integration products such as IBM WebSphere Business Integration Server Foundation and IBM WebSphere MQ workflow.
- Experience in developing applications in J2EE or Java in Message Broker.
- Experience in Relational Database Management Systems such as Oracle and DB2.
- Hands-on experience in Message Broker Toolkit, ESQL and MRM.
- Experience in XML, XML Schemas, COBOL copybooks and data types.
- In depth understanding of integration concepts.
- Experience in WBI Adapters such as JText and JDBC.
- Must work well under pressure.
- Must have handled prior projects that have Real Time high dependency and challenging business deadlines.
- Good collaboration skills
Desirable: Web Services Technology and SOA., Revision Control (PVCS/CVS/Perforce), Build Scripts (Ant), · Comfortable working in AIX, Linux, Solaris & Windows Environments, Experience working in a matrixed organization
