Description
Segula Technologies has a need to hire a Sr Programmer Analyst (ASP.NET, VB.NET) for the Carson City, NV area.
Start ~ Mid October and work for a minimum of 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

1. EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
1.1 Microsoft .NET especially ASP.NET and VB.NET;
1.2 Writing web services using .NET technologies;
1.3 Writing and maintaining SQL server stored procedures;
1.4 Message queues;
1.5 Consultant must have a good working knowledge and strong technical background and experience in system analysis; and
2. EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS DESIRED

2.4 Powerbuilder 9.0 or greater

3. PROJECT OVERVIEW The consultant will be responsible for maintaining and any enhancement to the Vehicle Information Database (VID). The consultant should be able to learn the existing system with minimal guidance from the track lead and other programmers. The consultant should be able to write code in Microsoft .NET technologies, especially ASP .NET and VB .NET and should able to write stored procedures in an SQL server environment.
The consultant should be able to effectively communicate with user community and resolve any production issues in an expedited manner. When required the consultant should be able to interpret requirements, document the requirements and prepare technical documents.
4. SCOPE OF WORK Consultant must perform all activities to the agreed upon project plan/schedule.
4.1 Analyze, design and code Vehicle Information Database web application and web services;
4.2 Provide periodic status reports on the given assignments;
4.3 Meet with subject matter experts and collect requirements;
4.4 Perform enhancement to the web application and web services as per the requirements;
4.5 Perform unit testing and integration testing of the code changes;
4.6 Understand and follow protocol in promoting changes;
4.7 Write technical documents when required; and
4.8 Perform data corrections if required to maintain the integrity of the application.
5. DELIVERABLES Consultant must provide the following based on the agreed upon project plan/schedule.
5.1 Maintain VID web portal by fixing any issues identified by the users;
5.2 Enhance VID web portal as and when required;
5.3 Maintain VID web services by fixing any issues identified by the users;
5.4 Enhance VID web services as and when required;
5.5 Maintain SQL server stored procedures by fixing any issues identified the users;
5.6 Enhance SQL server stored procedures as and when required;
5.7 Maintain reports by fixing any issues identified by the users;
5.8 Enhance reports as and when required;
5.9 Document any data corrections and changes; and
5.10 Submit status reports, as requested.
6. TRAVEL If requested by the agency, consultant may be required to travel to a work location outside of Carson City. Consultant will be reimbursed travel expenses and per diem at the rates allowed at the time travel occurs
