DESCRIPTIONThe Engineer will support an outsourcing engagement within a centralized voice engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for projects and complex MACD activities related to Avaya based IPT systems.
- Support TDM to VoIP transformation and preventative maintenance activities.
- Coordinate change windows and follow documented procedures - MOPs (Method of Procedures).
- Manage work in accordance with performance metrics and quality assurance.
- Work closely with Avaya, Avaya Partners, on-site technicians, and customer representatives to provide outstanding customer support.
- Recognize and respond to problems and identify/develop possible solutions or alternatives.
- Partner with both NICE and Avaya VARs for pricing and installation.
- Degree in a technical discipline desired.
- Prior experience interfacing directly with customers and project managers.
- Skills & knowledge working with Avaya IPT equipment specifically: Avaya Media Servers, Avaya Media Gateways, CMS, Modular Messaging, VM, etc. NICE: Support the NICE Systems CRS installs.
- Experience working with NICE in a TSAPI/DMCC environment.
- Intimate knowledge of the NICE Systems call recording applications is a requirement.
- Experience/knowledge with administering/installing/managing NICE Systems 8.9, 3.0 and 3.5 desired.
