We have an exciting opportunity for an experience Infrastructure Architect (IA) to work with one of our major clients in Dallas.

The Infrastructure Architect is responsible for
- Following the IT system platform strategy as defined by Client and carrying out strategic requirements in an interactive consulting manner with Client and other vendors.
- Will educate and influence key stakeholders throughout the project life cycle and gather technical requirements.
- Will architect the technical solution for performing data center migration activities into a virtual environment and provide direction and guidance to project managers and the technical team to
ensure that the requirements are met in an architecturally sound manner, meeting fundamental technical requirements such as scalability, security, flexibility, re-usability and supportability.
- Must be able to capitalize on the potential cost savings while improving efficiency as well as understand the Enterprise Architecture methodologies and techniques.
- Work with Client to understand the project business requirements; translate, document detailed infrastructure requirements to deliver IT Infrastructure solution
- Lead technical teams to understand the project business requirements; translate, document all detailed technical requirements (infrastructure, network, application) for medium to large sized
projects
- Provide direction to infrastructure/application analysts to document analysis, design and solution requirements for projects impacting infrastructure
- Ensure that detailed infrastructure requirements are in alignment with Client standards and IT processes
- Review the quality of detailed infrastructure requirements; identify gaps and drive closure to requirements gaps; work with technical teams to ensure quality reviews of technical requirements are
performed accordingly
- Ensure technical requirements are reviewed by all applicable stakeholders and are signed off and approved accordingly
- Access and communicate the impacts, tradeoffs, risks, costs, benefits and opportunities of IT Infrastructure solutions.
- Document through architectural models or views the current and future state of the organization and how they will be met in an efficient, sustainable, adaptable and cost effective manner.
- Work independently alongside multiple teams in an advisory capacity.
- Awareness of application landscape and hardware dependencies to design and build IT infrastructure solution.
- Drive the integrated review of infrastructure, network, application, etc. detailed technical requirements; identify solution options, evaluate pros and cons of options and drive consensus on final
recommendation of infrastructure project solutions.; work with accountable project team members to update technical requirements and close gaps accordingly.
- Takes ownership of open issues assigned to them; takes initiative to drive assigned issues to resolution with the appropriate sense of urgency.

- Risks & Issues - Risk register
- Architectural drawings - current & future state, technical papers
- Requirements from OEM/3rd Party Vendors
- BOM & Capacity planning inputs
- Identify security requirements and communicate with project team
- Support and guidance for project execution where required

Infrastructure Architect required skills include
- 5+ years experience as an Infrastructure Architect.
- 10+ years of experience in Information Technology space
- 5+ years of experience working with structured project delivery processes
- Must have experience in designing solutions impacting Wintel, UNIX, AIX environments, addressing storage, back up and disaster recovery requirements.
- Expertise in eliciting requirements/performing analysis to document infrastructure requirements
- Ability to lead teams of engineers to assess & document infrastructure requirements
- Ability to effectively partner with other project team members to finalize technical requirements impacting other technology areas such as network, security and application
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Datacenter migrations and Datacenter technologies including Wintel, Unix, Storage, and Back up domains
- Extensive knowledge in Virtualization and Consolidation as well as prior experience with a physical to virtual (P2V) migration
- Experience with VizionCore and/or Quest migration tools is required
- Conceptual knowledge in domain architecture, Messaging, and Collaboration services
- Knowledge in current trends of Infrastructure technology
- Working knowledge of network, application, security technologies and how they interact with the infrastructure
- Must be able to assess infrastructure requirements and provide feedback on said requirements as well as be comfortable negotiating final solutions with other technologies
- Experience with tools and methodologies to design and architect IT Infrastructure solution.
