Description
A Trust in London requires an interim Theatre Manager to start in the first half of October for an initial 3-month contract.
Responsibilities of the role include:
* Developing and implementing systems and processes to allow the effective and efficient allocation of theatre resources to ensure the planned activity is delivered within the smallest cost envelope.
* Ensuring these systems and processes are co-ordinated and well utilized productive lists are achieved.
* Establishing and leading a forum through which the Trust can review and identify efficiency and savings opportunities within the non-pay costs for theatres.
* Further developing a suite of theatre performance reports that help to identify areas of under performance.
* Developing action plans to address identified areas of under performance.
* Working with the Consultants to develop innovative ways of working to increase productivity on their lists.
* Ideally the right candidate will have theatre experience although service improvement and good knowledge of elective pathways would be a suitable alternative.
