Network Engineer - carrier ethernet, PDH, SDH

Description

Candle are seeking a Junior to mid level Network Engineer to work for a Leading Australian Telco within Core Transmissions Planning Group.This role sits within an area responsible for planning and capacity management of all inter-capital and metro transmission networks to support the business requirements of business clients.

In order to be successful for this role you will be experienced in and have knowledge of the telecommunications network planning field and understand the following technologies;

• SDH, PDH on fibre and Microwave radios
• Carrier Ethernet or IP background

Responsibilities will include:

• Metro/inter-capital transmission planning
• Preparation of capacity forecast and network utilizations
• Management of metro/intercity and regional transmission capacity
• Ensure requests for core transmission capacity allocations are met  within the agreed SLA's

Ideally you will have experience in similar environments within Telco and be proficient in: 

• MS word, excel and project
• Gismo, Mapinfo, TCMS
• ONPS, BORIS, SAP
