Spring IT are currently looking for a Finance Manager to join a large Financial Services Client based in the City.

Duration: 3 months
Location: London City
Rate: Daily Contract Rates
* Qualified Finance Manager.*
ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Take an active role in key reporting processes including:
- Ensure deliverables are timely and of appropriate quality
- Proactively assess and implement changes to deliverables/processes - understanding/assessing the impact of these changes
- Influence and manage the necessary stakeholders and processes
* Develop and manage relationships with Regional finance teams and other Group Centre contacts throughout the year including:-
- Supporting all aspects of key cycles
- Taking an active role in understanding the financial performance of regions and to challenge and enquire as appropriate
- Ensuring submissions are timely and of appropriate quality
* Contribution to the ongoing design, development and implementation of the teams approach to external reporting as well as ensuring the quality of audit deliverables is maintained and audit trails and supporting work papers are of a high standard.
* Identification and management of risks and issues impacting on reporting and providing appropriate challenge and proposed solutions
* Provide flexible and high quality support to ad hoc projects as they arise and liaison with key stakeholders as appropriate.
* Support the Senior finance managers and Head of External Reporting including:
- Ownership of specific elements of key processes and deliverables within each cycle
- Contribution to key outputs prior to senior management review
- Support the wider team on out of cycle activities
* Work collaboratively with immediate team members, wider group finance team and colleagues outside of Group Finance (eg Group Risk, Group Legal)

* Financial Reporting Planning Director
* Group Finance (Capital, Solvency, Actuarial, CRS, Treasury, Financial Control, GFBS, AGCF)
* Regional finance teams
* Group Tax
* Investor Relations/Media Relations
* Internal Communications/Brand
* Legal & Company Secretarial
* Executive, Audit & Disclosure Committee
* External advisors (Auditors & US legal counsel)
* Design/Print agency
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Degree plus recognised accounting qualification or appropriate business experience.
* Appropriate post qualification experience

Experience of internal or external financial reporting preferred
* Relevant financial services experience. Insurance preferred but not essential
* Financial reporting environment with strong knowledge of IFRS, but also MCEV and related regulatory/solvency requirements.
* Highly developed influencing and communication skills
* Sound judgement and ability to identify and articulate risks and opportunities in a balanced manner.
* Stakeholder management experience
* Strong report writing skills
* Prioritisation skills
* Experience of consultancy style environment - able to influence across organisational and geographic boundaries and build relationships and networks with a wide range of colleagues.
* High performer with ambition and ability to learn quickly with a can do attitude.
