Prestigious Fortune 500 Company located in the Chicago suburbs is aggressively seeking a VM Ware 6 to 12 month consultant. The candidate for this role must have 3 year's VM Ware, knowledge of VDI and Xen, 2 year's of Scripting, knowledge of SLES, Blade Servers, Storage Solutions, and Data Center and Networking is a (+).

Designs new systems and enhancements, or researches, cost justifies, recommends and implements upgrades in support of business requirements.
Ensures integration of systems, enhancement's and upgrades across all systems.
Collaborates with clients to determine and understand business requirements. Leads a team in the analysis of systems needs, development, process analysis, and design to accomplish defined business requirements.
Acts as the expert technical resource for high level technical and business problems; applies diverse technical expertise to identify, troubleshoot and determine resolution to complex systems issues.
Provides input to the project plans for all areas of technical specialization. Projects time and manpower required to complete necessary technical duties within area of expertise.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
3 years experience developing and supporting IT Infrastructure.
Experience with Linux system administration functions (ie, system internals and tools).
Knowledge of Virtualization technologies such as VMWare, VDI and Xen.
2 years of experience in mediating IT support issues in a corporate environment.
2 years experience Scripting with programming languages, such as Perl and Java.
Knowledge of SLES operating systems.
2 years experience with Windows administration (client and server).
Knowledge of blade Servers and storage solutions.
4 years experience in information technology (corporate environment or as consultant).
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years experience in designing and implementing solutions for distributed computing environments within a fortune 500 company.
Knowledge with data center and networking technologies.
Bachelor's degree.
