About the Role:
The successful System Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day problem solving of the server fleet. You will be striving for the highest level of availability of the managed server fleet, ensuring that anti-virus, security and requested daily functions are completed successfully.
Key responsibilities include:
- Proactively trouble shoot standard alerts both remotely and on-site.
- From time to time you may be called upon to participate in Project related work and adhoc tasks.
- Suggest/recommend operating system and hardware patches/fixes/updates ahead of time.
- This role provides the opportunity for a candidate with a proven track record in supporting complex customer environments; to move into one of the worlds most extensive IT services providers, servicing industry leading clients.
Please note this role is based in ACT, 12 month initial contract, Australian Citizenship is Required.
Key Skills Required:
- A proven track record in System Administration at a senior level.
- W3K3, 2K8, Citrix 4.5 Certifications are highly desirable.
- Extensive experience with Windows Active Directory.
- Knowledge and understanding TSM Backup and restore, Group Policy and Scripting.
- Must be customer-oriented while maintaining focus on the overall delivery of service.
- Able to communicate fluently (verbally and written with users, peers and superiors).
- Demonstrate good project coordination skills.
