Job Description
As part of a cross-functional team, you will use advanced knowledge and skill sets to support the IP network. Frequently interfaces with Tier 2, field team members, Engineering, other NOC (Network Operations Center) technicians and all service vendors. Provide guidance to others and perform escalation procedures in a timely manner. Provide and documents in-depth analysis to isolate and resolve customer affecting issues. Review of methods of procedure, creating MOPS and execution of MOPS. Creation and escalation of trouble tickets with third party vendors such equipment manufacturers, manages and executes all aspects of RMAs with said manufacturers. Identify, research, and develop process improvements and recommends them to management for implementation and assists junior technicians in doing the same. Use in-depth knowledge to provide input on process improvements related to maintenance and repair activities. Provide recommendations in the development of standard operating procedures.

Skills
4+ years experience in configuring and troubleshooting TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, Ethernet, ATM, MPLS, in a primarily Cisco environment.
Knowledge of Alcatel-Lucent IP platforms desired
Knowledge of Data networking with the ability to apply acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks through to completion and thrive in a complex environment.
Excellent skills with the Microsoft Office suite.
Strong written and verbal communications skills
