System Administrator - Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)

System Administrator - Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). Experis is seeking a LIMS Systems Administrator for a long-term project in Thousand Oaks with a large biotech firm. Tasks:
- Will be assisting users in day to day issues, such as providing training, troubleshooting user or system errors (20% of the time).
- Will be managing system configuration including, configuration of new tests in the system, creation of test calculations/macros (40%)
- Creation of reports using Crystal Reports, creation of data exports (10%)
- Managing change control for changes in the system. Authoring documentation and executing test cases. (15%)
- Performing development testing of new features in the system (15%)
Requirements:
- Looking for a candidate with strong laboratory expertise (eg someone that has worked in a regulated pharmaceutical lab as a chemist, that understands assays, analytical equipment)
- LIMS expertise from an end user perspective and someone that has implemented LIMS.
- LIMS expertise from a support perspective, someone that has worked configuring tests in lims, calculations, workflows, performed end-user training, created manuals, troubleshooted system errors
- Technical expertise, someone that has done programming, done DBA work, proficient with Oracle SQL queries, installed operating systems, created technical diagrams
- Techni cal expertise, someone with strong validation background (eg written validation documents, have understanding of laboratory regulations, have a STRONG command of the English language).
- Expected level of experience is 10+ years.
- Experience with STARLIMS preferred.
