DESCRIPTIONThe General IT Unix/Linux/Windows Support consultant will be working with and in support of Linux and Windows computing and administrators/developers. Will help to support desktops and servers.
Qualifications:
- Experience with Unix/Linux administration.
- Strong technical knowledge of server builds, desktop hardware, and peripherals.
- Understanding of the registry operating systems of Windows XP.
- Knowledge in building virtual machines using Vmware.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP and Unix/PC networks is required.
- Good people and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and learn quickly.
- Some lifting - computers and monitors.
- Lab computers or computer validation experience is highly desirable.
- Good organizational and troubleshooting skills.
- Able to solve complex problems.
- Ability to meet deadlines, work in a team environment, follow written policies/procedures, experience with project management. maintain superior customer service at all times with all users.
- Knowledge of Windows OS.
- Ability to interpret, write Scripting code, doc writing, and application testing.
