Talented Unix administrator required for a highly regarded government organisation to work as part of a professional Unix based team for an initial 4 month contract position. 

To be successful in this Unix Administrator role you will have a background in Computer Science, related discipline and the following work experience:

  • Experience with LDAP directories in a Unix environment
  • Experience with Open LDAP in a Linux or Sun Solaris environment
  • Familiar with software development in a Unix environment, in particular with C and Unix Scripting environment s (Shell, Perl, Python)
  • Familiar with Java development and the use of JAAS
  • Experience with Kerberos in a Unix environment (desirable)
  • Experience with relational database systems and SQL, in particular PostgresSQL
