Description

Candidate must be proficient in Retail Banking development and integration for financial services. Experience must include design, development and implementation of software for Call Center, Branch Sales/Service or Teller environments. A minimum of 5 years of experience leading the delivery of software, preferably to a Retail Banking environment. Candidate must demonstrate strong leadership skills.

Candidate must have the ability lead our coding initiatives and the development team, including Contract and Global Resources. Strong understanding of Branch and Call Center processes. Must be able to drive estimates, ensure viable technical designs, monitor the resources, handle technical issues, and lead triage at the project and release level. Ability to interpret business and system requirements and document a technical design that can be executed by experienced ARGO developers Validate that the delivered code meets business requirements (we refer to this as String Testing). Interact with many supporting teams such as Architect, Configuration Management, Testing, and Shared Services.

A Bachelors Degree is preferred for this position, however candidates with commensurate experience will be considered.

Bachelor's degree and 10+ years progressive work related experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines/processes related to the position or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with web based languages such as .NET, JAVA or J2EE. Solid experience as a Team Lead providing team leadership to less experience developers and serving as the point for all top level technical issues. Provides direction in the development and maintenance of application programs as well as participates in various phases of the development cycle. Ensures development adheres to performance optimization, interoperability standards and requirements, and compliance with IT governance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Acts as liaison to clients on highly technical and most complex project requests and serves as a technical advisor to other team members. Designs and engineers systems, provides complex and unique customization of systems development. Provides integration support for all project work and as necessary to meet business needs. Provides overall application system integrity and meets applicable project schedules. Supports and reviews estimates of task level project workload supporting the development effort. Contributor to projects which span the enterprise.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated knowledge of Project Management methodology and Middleware application development (such as WebSphere, MQ). Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of structured analysis, technical design techniques and related software architectures and development methodologies. Experience providing leadership to less experience developers and serving as the point for all top level technical issues. Strong verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of presenting and discussing technical information as well as influencing and gaining the understanding of others.
