Cluster Meter - Mecatronic Contractor
1 year, starting in October
The above contractor vacancy has arisen within R&D based Bedfordshire. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and skilled personnel, with suitable demonstrated background experience.
Reporting to the Senior Engineer the successful candidate will be self motivated and possess excellent communication and organisation skills and be a key member in supporting and improving the department's activities.
Main purpose of position:- Interface between the Customer R&D Engineering and our internal engineering (UK, France, Japan).
Specific responsibilities:
- Capture and refine detailed customer requirements.
- Write and maintain technical documentation.
- Document and test software releases.
- Travel as part of the role to other sites and customer sites as required.
Required skills:
- Engineering degree
- 2 to 5 years experience in Embedded software development within the automotive industry
- Language: First language English, Japanese is a plus.
- Technical
- Embedded software coding capability (Matlab, C/C++)
- Experience of GL-Studio would be advantageous.
- Capable of understanding circuit schematics/wiring diagrams.
- Automotive industry knowledge.
It would also be advantageous for the candidate to have some experience in the design of mechanical plastic parts, PCB's and the use of CAD design software especially NX.
