The Care Delivery BIO Information Management and SOA team seeks an IT Program
Manager for implementation and integration of infrastructure projects with
concentration on clinical care and quality initiatives that are focused on
improved patient care. In addition, this individual will have the background
and knowledge to assist the team in business analytics and data marts.
Essential Functions:
• Project Integration Management: Develops framework and manages the tracking
of interdependencies within or across projects; manages coordination across
multiple stakeholders from both IT and Business to ensure project objectives
are met.
• Project Planning: Responsible for planning and facilitating project
meetings, defining project scope, facilitating technical/operational
requirements identification, developing detailed project plans, project
budget or anticipated savings, and establishing a framework for the
management of on-going project activities.
• Project Execution and Tracking: Manages the project management process.
Documents issues, action items, or deliverables from project meetings.
Performs a variety of project related activities including; updating project
schedules and plans, project communications, and budget tracking.
Accomplishes all work within the established methodologies and standards.
• Issues and Risks Management: Identifies and tracks project issues,
resolving issues where possible or escalating in a timely fashion to higher
management when needed. Assess and manages risks and drives mitigation
activities.
• Change Management: Influences and gains commitment to change. Partners with
clients and project team members to drive communications and change
management activities for each project deliverable
• Coordinates tasks and leads activities across functional lines in a matrix
environment
• Maintains customer focus and positive client relationships
• Ideal candidate will also be a self starter who is results oriented who can
effectively navigate within a large organization and across multiple
portfolios.
• Solid problem solving skills combined with the ability to manage
effectively with ambiguous requirements.
• Effectively and efficiently work with remote team members in different time
zones
• Some travel required
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or four years
additional experience in a related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience managing projects in an IT environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience managing projects with budgets up to $1 million and total
project budgets up to $5 million
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders with differing goals and
objectives.
• Experience in consulting and/or client relationship management
• Prior experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders in
different locations within a Matrix environment.
• Ability to establish a strong and trusting relationship with business and
IT stakeholders.
• Results oriented self starter who can effectively navigate a large organization.
• Proven track record delivering projects through disciplined project
management processes and close collaboration with business and IT partners.
• Solid problem solving skills combined with the ability to manage
effectively with ambiguous requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. PMP Certification if available, but not necessary
2. Health care experience
3. Data or Information Management experience
4. Clinical experience
5. Infrastructure implementation experience
