MI Business Analyst, MI Project
The Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager in delivery of the MI Project.

Must have significant Management Intelligence/Information experience.
The Strategic Change Management (SCM) function is responsible for delivering a number of initiatives as part of a Group-wide programme transforming the Finance function across the globe. The Global Finance Change Programme will deliver to the Group a professional, effective and responsive finance service at optimal cost, employing a common and transparent global model. These projects are being rolled out across all regions of the Bank, with regional representatives supporting the Central project teams in implementations locally.

You will also continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.

This will be achieved by ensuring all actions take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring. Also by addressing any areas of concern in conjunction with line management and/or the appropriate department.

You will have to adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.

You will be required to implement the Group compliance policy by containing compliance risk in liaison with Global Head of Compliance, Global Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer. The term 'compliance' embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply.

This will be achieved by adhering to all relevant processes/procedures and by liaising with Compliance department about new business initiatives at the earliest opportunity. Also and when applicable, by ensuring adequate resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimising relations with regulators.

Key Skill Requirements

  • A deep understanding of the full project life cycle from requirements through to implementation
  • Ability to professionally and effectively present information and respond to questions from all levels of management
  • Demonstrable logical approach to problem solving. Ideally informed by understanding of process change methodology
  • Accounting/financial reporting knowledge would be a benefit (specifically P&L, General Ledger and Group Finance functions)
  • Process mapping skills
  • Proven business requirements gathering and facilitation skills (eg running requirements workshops)

Educational Requirements

  • Graduate from top university with good honours degree
  • Accounting Qualification

Personal Skills Requirements

  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Strong drive and inclination to stick to rigorous methodology and approach, balanced with a pragmatic and co-operative approach
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
