Description
Systems AnalystOur large Government client in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Systems Analyst to fill a short term (approx. 6 month) contractor assignment to provide Computer Systems Analysis Services.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Eliciting functional systems requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirement JAD sessions, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
- Analyze and document required data and data mapping of data exchanges.
- Prepare accurate and detailed requirement specifications documents, user interface guides, and other project documents according to standard templates, using natural language.
- Coordinate with business units who test, validate, evaluate systems changes.
- Participate in the process of designing test scenarios.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of (8) eight years’ experience as systems analyst (technical degree or similar work may be substituted for analyst experience).
- Demonstrated experience documenting functional requirements, technical specifications and designs for existing and new applications.
- Conducting analysis of technical solutions.
- Working within Systems Development Life-cycle (SDLC).

Requirements/Knowledge:
- Minimum of (4) four year college degree, or equivalent training and experience.
- Knowledge of SA-BoK or equivalent use of formal systems analysis methodology.
- Understanding of application programming, database, system design, and data exchanges in both Mainframe and Client Server environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with systems development methodology.
- Experience working on large, complex systems in a project environment.
