Description
6 mo+ contract for a Sr. Developer with .NET, and Web services skills.
This position is responsible for working with multiple teams to design and implement application and technology architectures including: SOA, Middleware, and Enterprise Architecture Integration Projects. This position requires expertise in such sophisticated architectures and infrastructure such as EAI using Web Services/Service Oriented Architecture, Middleware Administration, Operation Systems, Storage, Virtualization, and Server Architectures. This position requires an understanding of best practices in such methodologies as Enterprise Application Integration and Service Oriented Architecture.
This individual will perform a technical lead role within the Operational Data Store (ODS) and Load Management System (LMS) work streams, which requires strong IT planning, design, test and implementation skills
- Experience as a Software Developer
- Experience in all phases of the SDLC life cycle.
- Experience leading design sessions
- Experience leading development teams
- Experience working with and adhering to application development standards
- Experience performing code reviews
- Strong understanding and experience in SOA Design Patterns and Best Practices
- Strong understanding and experience with Web Services Patterns and Best Practices
- Strong understanding of data and database modelling concepts.
- Ability to convert documented business requirements into conceptual, logical and physical design documents.
- Ability to create prototypes, execute pilot projects, design and revamp integration architectures, implementing end-to-end solutions, managing a team and partnering with client teams
- Design and development issue resolution
- Understanding of ETL and data warehousing concepts
Preferred Competencies:
- Experience with Software AG*s webMethods product
- Experience with Informatica ETL product suite
- Experience working with Common Information Model (CIM) solutions
- Experience with Customer Information System (CIS) utility Legacy systems
- Experience with AMI Head End Software is preferred.
- Experience working with Load Management and Demand Response systems/architectures
- Project management
- Issue/Risk identification/management
