A national home improvement retail firm are looking to hire an interim Finance Director for an initial 6 month period to join their well established brand. Based in the centre of the South Coast this company has won numerous national awards and prides itself on providing a unique customer experience.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail accounting and will take on the responsibility of maintaining strong financial and regulatory controls whilst remaining commercially compliant.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Conducting management reporting and statutory reporting
* VAT and corporate tax reporting
* Managing and directing a team of management accountants
* Overseeing the finance function
* Coordinating and reviewing monthly management accounts
* Various analysis work focused around budgeting and tax
* Responsible for the reporting of income for entire business
Essential Skills and Professional Qualifications:
* CCAB Qualified of equivalent
* Previous management experience at Financial Director level
* Experience within a retail environment
* Previous Experience of managing external audits and delivering monthly management reporting
* Strong knowledge of VAT and Corporation Tax
