An initial 4 week contract role for a capacity planner within an exciting and proactive national transport planning team has become available. This role will see the successful candidate support the transport and routing engineers and have the opportunity to apply their core network and database knowledge and experience to a high profile project and team of specialists.The successful candidate for this role will have hands on experience and knowledge in the following areas:
- Project Management; ability to produce summary reports for Senior Management.
- Analyse and interpretation of complex network data whilst identifying and providing solutions for impacted teams
- Being a member of a proactive team environment; ability to transfer information across teams and individuals
- Ability to communicate to a range of individuals and display excellent written and verbal communication skill.
- Being able to demonstrate a strong customer focus with the ability to understand from the customer's perspective and align their needs with company objectives.
- Be proficient in the use the following applications; Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
- In-depth knowledge of the Core Transport Network, including PDH, SDH, DWDM, Radio and Optical Fibre .
- Extensive knowledge of the TRAC Database of Record used to record Core Network Infrastructure.
- Specific experience and hands on experience using Multiman, MITS, GDD Databases of Record .
- Detailed understanding of the planning process and of the factors that influence the demand for network capacity.
- High level of expertise in MapInfo .
- Basic understanding of financial systems and reporting.
