Overview-
The responsibilities of this candidate will be to develop new applications and perform life cycle support for existing applications. The candidate will be trained on in depth knowledge of a sub system within the environment and the tools that support company's products. The engineer must also attend and contribute in internal team meetings. In addition, the engineer must be completely accountable for all assigned tasks. Finally, the engineer is required to adhere to all of company's software development procedures and processes while fulfilling the leadership role.

We will train the candidate with Client's products and business concepts in the areas of:
- Data Clearing House for roaming
- SMS and MMS messaging
- Financial Clearing House for GSM roaming and SMS messaging

The candidate must be technically competent in Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE), SQL, and Oracle DBMS, and Oracle PL/SQL.

The candidate is expected to uses Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) to provide enterprise reporting capability for various SVR products.

The candidate will be proficient in the following areas of OBIEE
- Create highly interactive dashboards for accessing Business Intelligence and applications content
- Produce creative solutions to complex customer requests.
- Provide coaching to fellow teammates on Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE).
- Answers: Design complex reports (pivot tables, drill-downs, report navigation, complex formulas, Go URLs, etc.)
- Dashboards: Add charts, tables, graphs to dashboards; create dashboard prompts, set up presentation variables, etc.
- Repository: Strong expertise with subject area creation and dimensional data modelling. Create security groups, init blocks, set up session variables, etc.
- Delivers: Configure delivers, IBOTS, etc.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the requirements phase for projects: Apply current telecommunications knowledge and research current standards documents to keep up with the continuing changes in the industry.
Create high-level design documents from requirements utilizing Object-Oriented or Structured Methods that contain such items as use cases, flow diagrams, structure definitions and architecture diagrams.
Create detailed design documents from high-level design documents utilizing Object-Oriented or Structured Methods that contain items such as low-leveling state machine diagrams, common procedural definitions, database design elements.
Code an application from detailed design specifications.
Unit test applications using application tools such as a symbolic debugger, protocol analyzer and message emulation scopes and internally developed application test tools using company's suite of development/test environments.
Integration testing across interfacing functional groups that may be involved, such as Crossroads, billing and reporting.
Review design documents, code and test results to insure accuracy and completeness and adherence to the requirements.
Document thorough release notes detailing the implementation process according to company procedures. Present the implementation plan in formal release planning walk-thrus.
Assist operations with the actual implementation of an application.
Perform post-implementation monitoring and testing to insure the release is functioning as expected.
Work with Product Support to research customer reported problems. Analyze application logs, network traces and program traces to determine the root cause of reported problems. Using company's test environment and emulation tools, duplicate problematic scenarios reported by the customer.
Support internal company procedures used to support existing/new applications:
o Create a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) of hours for projects.
o Create a Level of Effort (LOE) of hours for projects.
o Use NIKU to enter hours worked every week.
o Use the test tool to emulate transaction entities.
o Use our configuration management tool (Continuus).
o Use our Solution Gateway tool for recording, tracking, analysing and resolving software defects.
Position requires strong technical knowledge of OBIEE (develop subject areas, troubleshoot report and application issues, provide answers to client problems, help power users, etc.).
Interpret client requirements and turn them into an OBIEE-based solution.
Provide assistance to Product Support and other groups for report and application issues that require development involvement.

Expert knowledge and ability to deliver software utilizing the following:
Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE)
SQL
Oracle DBMS
