Description

SharePoint Developer/Web Developer
Redmond, WA

We are seeking a SharePoint support and development team member to work with our design teams and studio managers to revamp, support and/or create SharePoint sites and portals. We are a design team and requires a dev with appreciation for clean modern design and the ability to exceed the out of the box visual boundaries of SharePoint without over-customizing code.

This position is a combination role of SharePoint Design Development and SharePoint application support. The preferred person for this opening would have experience with SharePoint 2010, SharePoint Designer and application of Master Pages and corresponding CSS. This person will be handling SharePoint application questions about visually customized and re-configured portals and assisting with content placement and the migration of data from Legacy sites to new instances. Also, this person will customize the look/feel of SharePoint using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery as needed. The intent is to bring on a junior team member who has the capacity and interest to learn quickly and develop these skills.

Developer to implement technically sophisticated online web content involving client side and/or server side scripting. Responsibilities include designing and developing of high traffic websites under deadline pressure and taking primary role in smaller, low risk projects, communicating and defending design, requirements, feature set, functionality, usability, localization issues, and limitations of subsystem to team and/or development lead or manager. The candidate needs to demonstrate expertise in a specific business/functional area.

Increased focus on development of ISS/IEB SharePoint sites, migration of sites to new server farm, high utilization and updated requirements are driving additional demand for support and coding.

Qualifications:
Clear communication skills along with a passion for customer service and support. Someone who is a good problem solver and extremely computer-savvy, focusing on web languages and application troubleshooting.

Day to Day Activities:
This person will be focused on SharePoint customer support. They will handle incoming emails of our clients who are requesting assistance with content or troubleshooting their SharePoint sites. When not assisting customers, this person will be focused on applying our Design Teams aesthetic to SharePoint as assigned, and will train with our senior developers on how to apply the best practices of code design to SharePoint 2010.

Focus of Position
Front end of SharePoint only, though someone with familiarity in the Back End side is favored. We are looking at soon having the capability of creating custom-deployed webparts, so SQL skills would be a welcome addition.

Skills and Experience needed:
Someone with familiarity of SharePoint 2010 and how to use the program. Someone with fundamental knowledge of HTML and CSS. A clear communicator with a history of customer service or support.

Also important is familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite CS4 & 5. The expectation isnt that this position will design, however, because we are a design team we must create SharePoint sites that exhibit an acute appreciation for good design (which the look and feel of SharePoint out of the box does not convey).
