CMM Programmer, initial 6 months contract based in Stevenage rate c22phQualifications and experience needed by applicants Essential:
Recognised mechanical or technical apprenticeship supported by relative academic qualification
Experienced CMM operator and programmer, proficient in the use of PC-DMIS version 4.3 or later including CAD 3D model programming
Knowledge/experience of Aerospace production engineering techniques
Must have a good engineering aptitude
Requires good PC skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Aware of the requirements of Health and Safety in the work place
HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical engineering
Experience in optical alignment (use of theodolites) and/or Laser tracking
Job Outline
Primary responsibility will be to perform measurements on flight and non-flight hardware. Measurements are performed using a large overhead gantry Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
Will be required to achieve delivery of equipments i.a.w. QCD (Quality, Cost & Delivery) and manage own workload.
Interface with customers (internal and external) and sub-contractors (non commercial)
The candidate requires good planning, communication and problem solving skills and the ability to meet challenging deadlines
The candidate should have the ability/initiative to work as part of a team or as an individual
Be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate in a confident and controlled manner
