CIMA Certified, PMO Support - London - Banking - 6months - Circa £400pd
The programme is a new Strategic Investment Platform for a UK Retail Bank to mitigate significant Operational and Reputational Risk.
The project requires a finance resource to support cost management.
There is a high level of scrutiny on project costs and thus far the project has not had capacity to manage this aspect comprehensively.
Responsibilities will include the following;
- Defining cost forecasts
- Assessing actuals against forecast
- Identifying differences and reasons for them
- Ensuring valid costs (only)are applied to the project
- Following up and resolving discrepancies
- Production of reports and charts to illustrate project costs
- Feed into Exec steering group summarising costs.
Core Skills and Experience
Analytical skills, Environmental awareness, Oral communication, Self/Work organisation, Written communication
- Experienced Project Controller/Accountant
- CIMA qualified - with at least 3 years post qualification experience
- At least 5 years PMO experience
- Preferably an existing contractor who can deal with jumping in the deep end
- PRINCE2 qualification -desirable
