ICT Manager, Prince, GIS.
ICT Manager required for my central government client with a minimum of 5-10 years experiance with ICT management, GIS, Systems Management or development, ideally in a local government/public sector enviroment.
· The ICT Manager is to Lead the development, implementation and management of comprehensive ICT services across the Authority
Essentilal Skills.
· Ability to manage an ICT function at a strategic level including a bought in service
· Ability to assess and overcome problems
· Strong motivational skills with a track record of developing others
· Confident and enthusiastic about change
· Excellent personal organisation and the ability to organise others
· High level of interpersonal, influencing and persuasion skills
· Educated to degree level in an ICT or relevant business related subject
· Ideally PRINCE II, MSP and M_o_R Practitioner
· ITIL Foundation
· Minimum 5 to 10 years experience with ICT management, GIS, systems management or development, ideally in a local government environment
· Experience of tendering in relation to ICT and options appraisal
· Previous experience of managing staff to meet deadlines
· Experience of developing and implementing policies and procedures
· Working to deadlines and managing a high and varied workload
· Experience of implementing ICT projects
· Experience of working in the public sector and able to demonstrate public sector values in terms of the use of public funds
· Experience of advising senior managers and executives
· Sound knowledge and understanding of all relevant ICT technologies and how these can be deployed to achieve an excellent ICT service
· Resilient, flexible and willing to work additional hours (including weekends) when required.
