Contractor – Business Objects
Summary:
The candidate needs to be able to provide technical expertise and guidance in Business Objects XI, including development work, analysis, design, and building of Business Objects reports. This contract will last about 6 months.
Specific Responsibilities (in priority order):
· Design, test, and document all new or modified Business Objects reports
· Analyze user requirements and, based on findings, design functional specifications for Business Objects reporting solutions.
Work with project managers to ensure reporting requirements are fulfilled and standards are met.
· Ability to analyze data and present it visually
· Troubleshoot Business Objects tools, and software; performance-tune these applications as necessary, provide technical support as necessary
Education Needed:
· College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or computer engineering preferred
Experience Needed:
· Minimum of 5 years direct Business Intelligence work experience and 5+ years Business Objects specific knowledge
· Comprehensive data warehouse analysis and design experience, with full knowledge of data warehouse methodologies and report development
· Full project development life cycle experience.
· Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Competencies Required:
· Expertise in Business Objects tools, Web Intelligence XI
· Demonstrated ability with MS Windows
