Description
These positions require an in-depth technical knowledge of software installations and setups, along with experience in debugging application installs. Candidates should have experience with installing and configuring applications and understand the concepts in the delivery of these packages.
The candidates will work primarily with an operational support team creating installation packages of shrink wrap and custom software for workstations. The candidates must be able to follow processes and use tools to convert vendor program setups or vendor setup scripts into automated installation packages based on company standards.
This position requires strong communication skills to understand business requirements and the ability to work with application owners, vendors, and clients with varying technical skills.
Minimum qualifications:
The candidates should have strong technical knowledge and experience with software packaging tools, installation (MSI) scripts, the Windows 7 and/or XP desktop operating system, and systems management tools. Additionally, candidates for this position should be able to research applications as needed, work independently, and have solid collaboration, communications, and documentation skills.
Desired qualifications:
Candidates will also have worked with Flexera AdminStudio, Microsoft SCCM, and experience packaging software for Windows 7.
