Solvency II Assurance & regulatory lead
We are currently looking for a solvency II work stream to work on an exciting new opportunity within our general insurance company based in London.

The Purpose of the role is to:

  • To be responsible for the co-ordination and control of the independent assurance programme and the Group's regulators relating to Solvency II matters.
  • To manage the relationship with the Internal and External Auditors, to ensure programme delivery of evidence (business units 'BU's and at group head office 'GHO') to support their independent reviews, managing progress and issues managing cost effective delivery.
  • Support the Solvency II Lead in the coordination of the evidence by the Programme (BUs & GHO) to our regulators to support the Regulatory Work plan and the Group's Internal Model Application.
  • To be point of contact and front person to field and respond to queries from the External and Internal Auditors.

To undertake activities in the following areas:

  • Manage the relationship with Internal and External auditors,
  • Control the scope and costs associated in-line with the agreed independent assurance plans
  • Monitor, manage and report findings,
  • Escalate issues and propose actions (where appropriate) from independent reviews to Solvency II Lead and Programme Director, as appropriate
  • Be familiar with the Group's readiness for Solvency II/SAM, with reference with the Self Assessment readiness, as submitted to our regulators

Skill set required:

  • Previous experience managing auditors (internal and/or external)
  • Preferably an Accountant, ex auditor or Actuary
  • Knowledge of FSA's Solvency II Processes & Tools (SAT, Quantification Analysis, Tools)
