To manage the relationship with the Internal and External Auditors, to ensure programme delivery of evidence (business units 'BU's and at group head office 'GHO') to support their independent reviews, managing progress and issues managing cost effective delivery.

Support the Solvency II Lead in the coordination of the evidence by the Programme (BUs & GHO) to our regulators to support the Regulatory Workplan and the Group's Internal Model Application.

To be point of contact and front person to field and respond to queries from the External and Internal Auditors.

To manage, control, and report progress and issues relating to the independent review process and regulatory requests.

To undertake activities in the following areas:

  • Manage the relationship with Internal and External auditors, of the Group's integration project independent assurance activities
  • Control the scope and costs associated in-line with the agreed independent assurance plans
  • Monitor, manage and report findings,
  • Escalate issues and propose actions (where appropriate) from independent reviews to Solvency II Lead and Programme Director, as appropriate
  • Be familiar with the Group's readiness for Solvency II, with reference with the Self Assessment readiness, as submitted to our regulators
  • Be familiar with UK's FSA and the South African regulator's (FSB) proposed Internal Model Approval Process ('IMAP')
  • Identify and align delivery of material as agreed with the regulators' Solvency II WorkPlan
  • Develop and lead the Integration Project Assurance Steering Committee meetings, involving internal audit, external audit, central programme and business unit representatives (as appropriate)
  • Provide evidence to regulators and auditors using the secure on-line SharePoint documentation management system
  • Liaise with Programme Central Workstream Leads, Business Unit contacts and Business-as-Usual (BaU)
